Versatility – study both transparent and non-transparent samples One of the main advantages of this microscope is the ability to observe both transparent and opaque samples. For this purpose the microscope is equipped with two illumination sources. Lower illumination is used for observing transparent samples–for example thin slices of plants and insects. Upper illumination allows for observing opaque objects such as small stones coins and bills and many others. You can also observe semitransparent samples by turning both illuminations on. The selection of interesting samples to study is only limited by their size and the observer’s imagination. Smart design The plastic body of this microscope is a lot lighter than those made of metal – the microscope is easy and comfortable to take along to school for a walk or when visiting friends. At the same time the microscope is very sturdy so it’s perfect for intense use. In order to provide more comfort during observations the head is inclined at 45°. Illumination can be powered by either an electrical outlet or batteries.
